General Terms and Conditions (AGB)
Terms of use of the CVabroad service · Status as of 06.11.2026
§ 1 Scope and Provider
(1) These Terms apply to the use of the online service CVabroad at cvabroad.com (the “Service”). The provider of the Service is Karol Weiher, Badergasse 1, 15230 Frankfurt (Oder), Germany (the “Provider”, “we”). Further details are in the Impressum.
(2) Differing terms of the user (the “User”) do not apply unless we expressly agree to them.
§ 2 Services
(1) Using artificial intelligence, the Service creates a CV based on the User's details and a job ad and, on request or when necessary, also a cover letter. The documents are created in the language of the target country, following the customs usual there, with a translation into the User's language. They can be edited in the browser and downloaded as a PDF and a Word file (DOCX).
(2) Before purchase, a free match analysis (an evaluation of how well the documents fit the ad) shows to what extent the User's documents reflect the essential requirements of the job ad and what information is missing. The analysis evaluates the documents, not the person.
(3) The Service is a tool for creating application documents. It is not an employment agency, does not provide legal, tax or migration advice and makes no statement on whether foreign qualifications or licences are recognised. Success of an application, in particular an invitation or hiring, is not owed.
(4) We may develop the Service further, provided that the agreed scope of services for access already purchased is not materially restricted.
(5) After the match analysis the Service may show courses from our offer that cover a missing requirement of the job ad and are available in the User's country. If there is no suitable course, no notice appears. The display is a non-binding suggestion: use of the Service and the content of the documents do not depend on it, and a course appears in the documents only when the User has completed it and entered it personally. Partners' courses are marked as such; the course provider's terms apply to booking such a course.
§ 3 Conclusion of contract, order and payment
(1) The contract for access is concluded between the User and the Provider. The order and payment are handled for the Provider by the Payhip service (Payhip Limited, London, United Kingdom); the payment itself is processed by Stripe. The contract is concluded when the User submits the order in the Payhip checkout and the payment succeeds. Payhip then sends the User an order confirmation with the access key; the User can retrieve an invoice with the Provider's details there.
(2) These Terms apply to the use of the Service.
§ 4 Price, access and term
(1) Access costs a one-off €9. The price is a final price and includes all applicable taxes. The price shown in the checkout is decisive.
(2) Access is valid for 30 days from purchase and then ends automatically. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Downloaded files remain with the User.
(3) A user account is not required. After purchase the User receives a personal access key in the Payhip order confirmation. If the purchase was started in the application, it unlocks access in this browser by itself after payment; on another device the User enters the key in the application. The User keeps the key secret.
(4) One access may create up to 5 sets of documents per day and up to 40 sets of documents within 30 days. A set of documents comprises a CV and, where applicable, a cover letter for one job ad, including revisions.
(5) The Service performs immediately: documents are created in less than a minute. The User therefore expressly requests immediate performance in the checkout and again in the application, before documents are first created, each time by a separate box that is not pre-ticked, and confirms being aware that the right of withdrawal is lost once the first documents are created. Without this declaration the Service creates no documents.
(6) If the User buys again while access is still running, no second access arises: the existing access is extended by 30 days from its previous end. The daily limit stays the same; the limit of 40 sets of documents applies to each 30-day period. If such a purchase is started in the application, the Service expressly points this out beforehand every time and states the new end date; the checkout opens only after confirmation.
§ 5 Duties of the User
(1) The User provides only true information and checks all documents using the translation before using them. The User is responsible for the content of the application sent.
(2) Access is personal. It serves to create documents for the User's own application and may not be passed on, resold or used for third parties.
(3) Automated use (e.g. scripts, bots), attempts to circumvent protection mechanisms or usage limits, and uploading unlawful content or third parties' personal data without authorisation are prohibited.
§ 6 Notes on AI-generated content
The documents are created by an AI model. Despite the instructions to use only the User's details, wording may be inaccurate or incorrect. The User therefore checks the documents before sending and corrects them if necessary; the Service offers editing in the browser for this.
§ 7 Availability
We strive for high availability of the Service. Short interruptions, for example due to maintenance or disruptions at service providers, cannot be ruled out. If the Service fails significantly for technical reasons on our side or that of our service providers (e.g. a failure of our server or of the AI), the User may complain to us; we consider each complaint individually. There is no automatic compensation. Disruptions of the User's device, browser or internet connection are not disruptions of the Service. The User's statutory rights, in particular regarding defects in digital products, remain unaffected.
§ 8 Blocking in case of misuse
In the event of a serious breach of § 5, in particular passing on or automated use, we may block access. The User's statutory rights remain unaffected.
§ 9 Liability
(1) We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act.
(2) In the case of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which the User may regularly rely, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
(3) Otherwise liability is excluded.
§ 10 Withdrawal and refund
(1) A statutory right of withdrawal, in particular for consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK, remains unaffected; it ends under § 4(5). Mandatory further rights under the law of the country where the User lives also remain unaffected.
(2) After an effective withdrawal we refund the price to the original means of payment.
(3) Details, including on the request, are on the page Refunds and withdrawal.
§ 11 Data protection
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
§ 12 Final provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. For consumers this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not remove the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the state in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
(2) The German version of these Terms is decisive. Translations are for information.
(3) If a provision is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
