About us
CVabroad helps people looking for work, at home or abroad, to prepare a CV and cover letter the way an employer in the country of work expects.
Who runs the service
CVabroad is run by Karol Weiher from Frankfurt (Oder), a city on the border between Poland and Germany. He is responsible for the service and for everything we publish in it. Full operator details are in the Impressum.
Karol Weiher
Founder of CVabroad
I moved to another country myself and I know what it is like to start again: a foreign language, different customs and rules you have to learn from scratch. So I understand well what someone looking for work abroad is facing. I built CVabroad so that you don't have to face it alone: you write in your language and get a finished CV and cover letter in the employer's language, prepared the way it is done in that country.
Today I run a business in Frankfurt (Oder), on the border between Poland and Germany. I am a lawyer by training. I make sure your CV is written the way it is done in the country where you want to work: according to official guides and local customs. I also make sure the service says clearly what it does with your data and what you are paying for, with no small print.
Why CVabroad exists
Anyone looking for work in another country usually has two problems at once: a foreign language and foreign customs. In each country a CV looks a little different: it may have a different order of sections, a different way of writing dates and a different approach to photos. An online translator converts words, but it does not fit the document to the job ad or to the customs of the country where you want to work.
With CVabroad you write in your language and the documents are created in the employer's language, for a specific offer. Next to every sentence you see a translation, so you know what you are sending.

How we use artificial intelligence
The documents are written by artificial intelligence (the Claude model by Anthropic), based only on your details and the rules for writing a CV in the country where you want to work. We prepare the app, the rules and the texts of the service with the help of AI, and a human is responsible for them: the operator of the service.
What CVabroad is not
CVabroad is a tool for preparing documents. It is not an employment agency or an intermediary, and it does not give legal advice, for example on work permits or recognition of qualifications.
